As economies show signs of recovery, the global property world is gradually turning its attention to Asia to uncover new opportunities in the regional investment landscape, say the organizers of the world’s largest international real estate investment event, Cityscape.
"Even though Asia's main economies are not immune to the global downturn, pricing and rentals were revived during the second half of 2009, with the total market capitalization of Asian real estate investment trust rising by 17.6 per cent - totaling an increase of 34.5 per cent for the whole year. This growth was encouraged by China’s stimulus measures and has led several Asian markets to report positive growth during the later part of last year," said Graham Wood, Group Exhibition Director, Cityscape.
